Drawing on the findings of recent Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) studies—the 2012 Think Global, Act Global and 2012 Resource Flows to Fragile States reports—this IPI-OECD event on December 12th, 2012, aimed to improve our understanding of the global dimension of fragility so that more effective action can be taken.

Lebanon has exceeded expectations in dealing with the continuing fallout from the crisis in neighboring Syria, said Derek Plumbly, United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, on March 26th. He spoke as part of a panel at the International Peace Institute’s launch of Africa’s Peacemakers, Nobel Laureates of African Descent, edited by Mr. Adebajo.
